Donald L. Dennison's practice includes the preparation and prosecution of utility and design patent applications and trademark applications. He is a former patent examiner with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office where he specialized in the mechanical and electrical arts.

Mr. Dennison received his Juris Doctor degree from George Washington University National Law Center and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and Aeronautical Engineering at the Carnegie Institute of Technology.

Mr. Dennison is admitted to the Virginia, Maryland and District of Columbia bars and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He is also admitted to practice law before the U.S. Supreme Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. His association memberships include the International Association for the Protection of Industrial Property (AIPPI), the European Communities Trademark Association (ECTA), and the International Trademark Association (INTA).

Ira J. Schultz's practice includes the preparation, filing and prosecution of utility and design patent applications in the U.S. and abroad. He specializes in patents for chemical inventions, and has experience in resolving problems with the US Patent and Trademark Office.

Mr. Schultz earned his Juris Doctor degree from Seton Hall School of Law. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry from the University of Rochester.

Mr. Schultz is a member of the Virginia and District of Columbia bars and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. His association memberships include the Maryland Patent Law Association (MPLA) and the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA).

Malcolm J. Macdonald's practice area includes the preparation, filing and prosecution of utility and design patent applications, as well as trademark applications. He specializes in patents relating to pharmaceutical agents, proteins and polysaccharide, and biotechnology. He has published scientific articles in the area of the microbial degradation of organic molecules.

Dr. MacDonald received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Maryland Law School. He received his Doctor of Philosophy and Bachelor of Science degrees from the University of Aston in Birmingham, England, and he held post-doctoral fellowships at the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST) and the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy. He has taught courses in Microbiology and Immunology.

Dr. MacDonald is admitted to the Maryland and District of Columbia bars and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He is also a member of the bar of the Court of Appeals of the Federal Circuit. His association memberships include the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA).

George H. Spencer is a veteran Washington, DC patent attorney, who holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Yale University and a Juris Doctor degree from Cornell University. He was a founding partner of Spencer & Kaye, later Spencer & Frank, which combined with Venable LLP in 1998.

Mr. Spencer's experience covers the entire range of patent and trademark prosecution, patent, trademark and copyright enforcement, unfair competition, licensing and negotiations in the field of intellectual and industrial property, and litigation in the courts and before government agencies, including the International Trade Commission. He is fluent in German and French.
